Our Worship at Serpentine Road reflects the Five Core Values of the Baptist Union: that we are a worshipping community following Jesus in engaging in worship and prayer that inspire and undergird all that we are and do.
Our main worship takes place on Sunday mornings at 10:45, finishing around midday. The form of service varies from week to week: generally it is Family Worship, either with or without Communion. Young people – ‘Seekers’ groups – sometimes leave part way through the service for their own activities, and there is a day room at the back of the church where people can take toddlers and still be near the service. Brownies, Guides and Scout Groups join us for Parade on a regular basis. More details are available by contacting one of the ministers.
When we celebrate Communion the invitation is to all those who have faith in Jesus Christ, and who feel they belong to the Christian Church.
The other occasions for worship are on Sundays, often at 9.30 am. Chapel Communion is a short, contemplative, service lasting about 30-40 minutes.
Serpentine Road Family Church is part of the South Wallasey Group of Churches, with St Paul’s Seacombe (Cof E), Our Lady Star of the Sea & St Joseph (Roman Catholic), Seacombe United Reformed Church and the Salvation Army. These churches have all covenanted together to worship and engage in mission, and a full copy of the Covenant is available from our Church Office.
